(1) Got a Sanskrit etymon for <<Old Soul>>? (My WAG would be something like
*puranatma or *puranatman, bereft of diacritics. No resources hereabouts.)
Cf. mahatma 'great soul'.

(2) Mean old soul. Twelve-year-old daughter came home the other day and
reported that her science teacher became upset at her sixth-grade class,
and told them that malevolent souls had entered the embryos of all the
Golden Dragon babies (i.e. those born in 2000). Taiwanese take this stuff
so-o-o-o seriously, especially during Ghost Month, a month you do not want
to be born in.
