Charlie, Fred and Wolfgang Mieder have a valuable entry in The
Dictionary of Modern Proverbs for:
Success is never final (and failure is never fatal).
The DMP notes that George Starr White wrote "Success is never final"
In a 1920 book.
Nowadays Winston Churchill is often incorrectly credited with:
Success is not final; failure is not fatal. It is the courage to
continue that counts.
On the Quote Investigator website I trace the expression and
tentatively credit a copywriter for Budweiser beer instead of
Churchill:
