Also, though maybe not relevant, there was a series of cartoons about "the Hooligan family" starting in 1892 and continuing until at least 1905 in a periodical first called Comic-Pictorial Nuggets [London], then just Nuggets. A compilation (not seen): The Hooligan Family: Scrapbooks Largely Comprising Cartoons featuring the Hooligan Family, J. S. Baker (Caricaturist), 2 vols. London.
