Probably not.  A "ghost printer" in the 18th century was one who did 
not use his real name.  The origial quote is:
"Jerry Scandal, Whale and Ghost Printer in White-Friars, had plagued 
the Town above Ten Years with Apparitions, Murders, Catechisms, and 
the like Stuff." 1707.
