Well, I once believed that there were two words, "enroach" and "encroach,"
with precisely the same meaning. Why I didn't notice the "c," to begin
with, and why I suddenly *did* notice it and why I then concluded that
there were two trivially-distinct words with the same meaning are a mystery
to me.
