I take it, then, that you are probably *not* a scion of Robert Gilmour
LeTourneau, the king of earth-moving equipment and the founder of
LeTourneau Christian University in Longview, Texas, my mother's birthplace.
Robert didn't have an Ivy-League degree - he held an honorary diploma from
the now-defunct International Correspondence Schools (I got my own ICS
diploma the old-fashioned way: I earned it) - but he had something even
more valuable: money.
