[Ads-l] Don't make English official, ban it instead

     When I did the Ban Roll-on Deodorant bit some time ago, RE: banning
English words, I thought I was being uproariously clever. The phrase "Let's
ban together!" was repeated in the commercial until I unaccountably started
sweating.
     Now I check and see internet discussion of <ban together> meaning
'band together' gets lots of prescriptivist dander up, Head & Shoulders
above expectation.
