Language is a cultural construct, and the one reflects the other. For
prescriptivism to be realistic, it must be allied with the social
engineering agenda. To enhance men's innate feminine side, we should
legislate something like <Cross-dressing Tuesday>, for which
men would show up for work in drag, as a collegial gesture to the fair sex.
(By George, if lumberjacks can do it, so can the rest of us alpha males!)
Conversely, <Cross-dressing Thursday> would involve the ladies donning guy
apparel, and better appreciating the manspread.
