Granted, that's predicating something about the speaker's father rather than referring to him as "my mother's husband", which would usually be pretty odd except in rather extreme circumstances (some of which can be found by googling "My mother's husband is my dad/father").
Odder would be "my dad/father is my mother's current husband".
