[Ads-l] Update on DARE's status

I'm happy to say that through the generosity of many friends of DARE and the unanticipated receipt of an estate gift, we are able to retain three positions for at least the next year. I plan to retire at the end of June, but I will remain active in an advisory capacity.

We continue to add new entries and revise earlier ones in our electronic database. They will be posted on the DARE website every quarter (see samples at http://www.dare.wisc.edu/words/updated-entries), and I'm pleased to announce that Harvard University Press has agreed to upload them to daredictionary.com annually. HUP has also reduced the price of an individual subscription to the digital version of DARE from $150 to $95 per year (see http://www.daredictionary.com/page/how-to-subscribe).
