I think I've also seen Batman referred to as "Bats", and Barbara Gordon 
(Batgirl, Oracle) is sometimes "Babs". (Could there be a Marvel/DC split 
here? The nicknames I recall for Marvel heroes tend to use "-(e)y/ie" - 
"Spidey", "Wolvie", "Shulkie".)
