1787 Charles Grant _Letter to William Wilberforce_ 17 Sept. in Henry Morris _The Life of Charles Grant (1904) 110  Some oppose it on the plea that Hindooism is a very good system, that is, that the few moral precepts which glimmer amongst an infinity of absurdities and enormities, are a sufficient Code for future happiness.
