So do I. Impressionistically speaking, I think that these are slightly
retroflex, compared to my regular versions of these sounds. My further
impression is that my version is common to BE, and even to most speakers,
because I really do hear "chivago"and not "chrivago." Usually, I don't be
noticing anything odd about other people's pronunciation of /dr tr/,
presumably because theirs distributively be the same as mine.
