I've been noticing this more and more.

It means, "I'm about to ask you a brief question that you'll be able to
answer with little thought."

E.g.,

Hey, Bluto, real quick, what's Popeye's favorite vegetable?

Sir, real quick, which candidate will you be voting for in the primary?

Real quick, Al, what was that equation again?


GB, 1985:  "Boys Clubs of America - real quick - do we need the money?"

GB, 1998: "Hey real quick, do you know what yours is as you read this?"

GB, 2006: "Um, real quick, does anybody else's soda taste a little funny,
kind of like duck sauce maybe?”
