The fishermen on the banks [of Sandy Hook, presumably NJ] nickname a cod of fifteen pounds a "bird"; one of twenty a "beaut"; of twenty-five a "buster"; of thirty a "darling"; of thirty-five a "bazooka." A thirty-nine and three-quarter pounder was caught last season.
