[Ads-l] "male chauvinism" (was Another Possible Antedating of the Term "Sexism")

I published an article in American Speech in the 1980s, entitled "Historical Notes on the Vocabulary of the Women's Movement," that discussed the origins of the term "male chauvinism."  Since then earlier evidence has come to light.  "Male chauvinism" has been traced back to 1935, and was probably modelled on the earlier term "white chauvinism" (1928).  Both those terms probably originated in Communist Party usage, although the 1935 citation for "male chauvinism" occurred in a very non-Communistic newspaper, the Christian Science Monitor.

This got me curious about the date of origin of the term "male chauvinism".

A quickie search on Google Books turned up two occurrences from the early 1950's.  Both were from the Communist Party of the United States.  Both are the annoying snippet views, but by searching on the date I was able to get (reliable?)confirmation of the date of publication.
