_Caribbean_ pronounced by the voice-overer as "carri-BEE-an" - the
pronunciation of my lost youth - and not as the contemporarily-preferred
"curRIBBian. Already, back in the '70's, I had a battle of the dictionary
with a roommate who refused to believe that "carriBEE-an" had ever been the
preferred pronunciation. OTOH, he won, when I refused to believe that
_aloose_ wasn't more standard than what I had always thought of as _'loose_.

And, as Google notes,

"People also ask
What do loose mean?"

All say, "How hard it is that we have to die!"---a strange complaint to
come from the mouths of people who have had to live.
