A shitcoin in the cryptoverse is similar to a junk bond in the world of bond investment.

Although not in Wiktionary, Wikipedia of the online Oxford Dictionaries, the latter provide two helpful suggestions:

https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/shitcan <https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/shitcan> and
https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/bitcoin <https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/bitcoin>

Stabelle provides a definition of “shitcoin” (https://steemit.com/shitcoin/@stellabelle/a-guide-for-newbies-what-is-a-shitcoin <https://steemit.com/shitcoin/@stellabelle/a-guide-for-newbies-what-is-a-shitcoin>)
"A shitcoin is basically an altcoin that becomes worthless over time or one that turns out to be a scam operation.”

Although there is a shitcoin user on Twitter, they are not prolific, but Shitcoin Pro Tips (https://twitter.com/shitcoinprotips) provides quite a bit of advice on trading shitcoins, as does Shitcoin King (https://twitter.com/shitcoin_king?lang=en <https://twitter.com/shitcoin_king?lang=en>).

A common strategy used by such shitcoin traders is the pump and dump (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pump_and_dump <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pump_and_dump>).

I think you can change your handle and name on Twitter, so Shitcoin King’s joining date of November 2011 is not necessarily evidence of how long the word has been in use.
