[Ads-l] "fanciers," aficionados

Has _fanciers_ really become so obsolescent as to require a synonym from a
foreign language - its PC spelling is _aficionad at s_, BTW - to explain it?

I’ve been both a cat-fancier (there’s a magazine, _Cat Fancy_, and one for
dog-fanciers, _Dog Fancy_) and un aficionado de la musica afro-latina
practically from birth.
