Subject: Re: [ADS-L] before (?) "cool your jets" compare "don't blow your jets"

The phrase "blow your jet" appears to be slang created for NBC science
fiction series "Tom Corbett, Space Cadet" set in 2351AD

Date: July 24, 1951
Newspaper: Daily News
Newspaper Location: New York, New York

[Begin excerpt]
An airport is known as a "space station." When you're told to "blast
off" you'd better scram and in that era you won't be full of hot air,
you'll be full of "space gas, You don't blow your top, you "blow your
jet." If you want to paint the town red you'll be "blowing up some
meteor dust."
[End excerpt]
