Back in July we discussed some verbs of communication based on "cold-call":
"cold-email," "cold-contact," "cold-message," etc.

Here's "cold text" used as a noun phrase, which would go along with the
verb "cold-text":

Why Politicians Are Texting You So Much -- And It's Only the Beginning
Katy Steinmetz, Time Magazine, Oct. 24, 2018
"The appeal of the political text is multi-fold. Campaigns can start a
conversation with voters without interrupting dinner. Sending a 'cold text'
is less awkward for volunteers."

The article is also notable for its use of "text bank," a new twist on the
"phone bank" used by political campaigns. Presumably there's also
"text-banking" on the model of "phone-banking," but when I Google for that
all I get is information from banks on how to make transactions by texting.
