Anyone who went to U. of Michigan knows Hell, MI, just as little northwest of Ann Arbor. my college used to hold retreats at Pinckney, a little farther so that you "had to go through Hell to get there." They used to have an antique store called the Den of Antiquity, and you could gert stamped first-day covers at the local post office. Don't know if either is still there; I went to Hell in 1971-asnd made it out.

There's a town in Norway called Hell. There's a train station there with H=
ELL in big letters on it. They have a cottage business selling postcards o=
f the station, mostly with "I've been to Hell and back" or the like.

_West Hell_

Kinda in ordinary use amongst the colored everywhere, not merely amongst
those in "Lousy Banana." Indeed, "up until now," I thought that its use was
universal.

All say, "How hard it is that we have to die!"---a strange complaint to
come from the mouths of people who have had to live.
