Leander Herron (1846-1937) was born in Fallsington, Pa. Interviewed by
Captain Eddie Rickenbacker (a familiar name to those of a certain age), he
carefully enunciates events of 1868.

Rickenbacker was born in 1890 in Columbus, O.
Photographer William H. Jackson was born in Keeseville, N.Y., in 1843. He
was 98 when interviewed. (Listen for his approximation of "Brooklyn"
"foist.") Age sometimes makes him hard to understand:

YouTube provides a number of exx. of 19th century accents, some of which
I've previously posted.
