I created "sayspel" to have a way to say words that indicates exactly how words are spelled.  It can be used as an auditory memory aid to spelling even though the pronunciation is different from normal.  For instance, all double letters are said twice and silent letters are pronounced to indicate that they are there.  This link shows the 74 truespel phonetic rules that apply sounds to the letters.
