Not a new sense that I know "from real life," but Green's Dictionary of Slang gives:
"Babygirl adj. used of men, attractive but lacking overt macho.
2024
Rolling Stone<https://greensdictofslang.com/sources/8892>
18 Jan. 🌐 ‘He’s so babygirl’ is a term used to describe a man who is very cutesy in a slightly submissive way."
Not sure new parents will use this, but the soon-to-see movie Babygirl will portray Nicole Kidman's character seducing one of them, reportedly.

Subject: Request from freelance writer about term babygirl
Dear members of ads-l,
Yesterday I received a request from a freelance writer about the
word babygirl (sic; one word, not two). Urbandictionary.com
defines it this way: A term used towards grown<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=grown__;!!OToaGQ!sTeXk-ZtER0Z_tKAuZ_RopwFCXlxdA4K6x51DBROfgCEQMQsG7psL-ngd8X8AHSZsmpwUGewpBvmcrY$ > fictional men<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=fictional*20men__;JQ!!OToaGQ!sTeXk-ZtER0Z_tKAuZ_RopwFCXlxdA4K6x51DBROfgCEQMQsG7psL-ngd8X8AHSZsmpwUGewfugbNQ8$ > who have the
fandom in a loving chokehold<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=chokehold__;!!OToaGQ!sTeXk-ZtER0Z_tKAuZ_RopwFCXlxdA4K6x51DBROfgCEQMQsG7psL-ngd8X8AHSZsmpwUGew-davwbA$ >.
With permission I am now sharing her message with ads-l
(below my signoff), and she would of course be very grateful
for any insight we might provide on the term.
Btw, her deadline is tomorrow (Friday).

Hi Gerald,
My name is Marilyn, and I am a freelancer for Parents.com
currently working on a story about the origins of the word
babygirl, how it is used, and what it means. I was wondering
if you might be able to answer a few questions for me? Including
them below.
QUESTIONS:
What is a 'babygirl'?
What is the origin of 'babygirl'?
Who is a 'babygirl'?
What should parents know about this slang word?
Anything else?
Warmly,
