According to the Founders Online website of the U.S. National Archives
"Poor Richard's Almanack of 1735" contains the expression "Three may
keep a Secret, if two of them are dead". The adage appeared in the
month of July.

I was asked to explore this statement; hence, I would like to examine
scans of the Almanack. Scans for many Poor Richard’s Almanacks are
available via the Rare Book Room. For example, here is a link to scans
of the 1734 edition.

Unfortunately, the Rare Book Room does not have the 1735 edition. Does
any list member know where one might find scans of the 1735 edition?

The scans are interesting because they show that the adages are
interleaved with other symbols and words. An example appears on the
following webpage on the QI website. Scroll down to see the scan which
shows the following statement:

Be at War with your Vices, at Peace with your Neighbours, and let
every New-Year find you a better Man.
