[Ads-l] "Judicial Activism" and "Judicial Activist" Not in OED

"Judicial activism" and "judicial activist" are important terms in U.S. law and politics but are not in the OED.  Below are the earliest uses I have found for these terms:

1946 Buffalo Evening News​ 26 Dec. 14/1 (Newspapers.com)  The real split, he [Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr.] says, is between "judicial activists" who would employ the judicial power affirmatively for their own conception of the social good, and the "champions of self-restraint."

1947 Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr. in Fortune​ Jan. 77  Robert Jackson's ... Book, The Struggle for Judicial Supremacy​, sets forth the argument on the historical record against judicial activism.
