UBI means universal basic income.
This vision has roots in the new wave science fiction movement of the
1960s and 1970s, I think. In 1967 Philip José Farmer published the
novella "Riders of the Purple Wage" in the collection "Dangerous
Visions". Farmer envisioned a world in which all citizens received a
basic income called the purple wage. Citizens lived in egg-shaped
houses, i.e., pods, which were embedded in a simulated environment.

Most authentic candidate after Bernie (who I'm voting for). In favor
of nuclear power to solve climate change instead of "eat bugs, live in
a pod." Don't like his idea to fund UBI with a VAT but like UBI in
