In answer to Carl's question, "in teaching Tagalog, do you give both forms?" Yes, I do. The grammar book says SINA-NINA-KINA but I tell then that in my Manila dialect, we say SILA-NILA-KILA. Similarly, I tell my students that both PAPAtulugin and paTUTUlugin are okay.
