Eighth International Conference on Oceanic Linguistics: First
Announcement

The Eighth International Conference on Oceanic Linguistics (COOL8) will
be held at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. The provisional
dates are 4-9 January 2010. 

Papers on any aspect of Oceanic linguistics will be welcome, as will
papers on East Papuan languages, the pidgin/creole languages of the
Oceanic area, and varieties of the metropolitan languages in the Oceanic
area.

A call for papers, together with more specific information about the
conference, will be sent out early in 2009.
