[An-lang] etymology of kundi in Tagalog

Corrective conjunctions like Spanish *sino* and Hungarian *hanem *are
transparently derived (diachronically) from "if not."

It appears to me that this may also be the case for *kundi* in Tagalog (*kung
+ hindi* ?). Can anyone confirm or disconfirm this?
