Dear fellow Austronesianists,
SIL PNG is happy to announce the publication of two new volumes in the
series Data Papers on PNG languages, both of which are available online.

Part 1 Phonology and basic morphosyntax. Data Papers on PNG Languages vol
65. Ukarumpa: SIL-PNG Academic publications [413 pages].

onology_and_basic_Morphosyntax
(Malol belongs to the Siau family in the Schouten linkage of the North New
Guinea cluster, Western Oceanic. It is spoken on the coast of northwest PNG,
halfway between Wewak and Vanimo. This is the first description of this
language.)

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/398302724_Mamusi_Grammar.
(Mamusi belongs to the Mengen family of the North New Guinea cluster within
Western Oceanic. It is spoken in East New Britain. This, too, is the first
description of this language.)
The website https://pnglanguages.sil.org/resources on which we normally post
these publications is currently going through an upgrade, and for the time
being these two books are available through ResearchGate. Happy reading!
René van den Berg
