Arabic Language and Literature
McGill University

MCGILL UNIVERSITY, Institute of Islamic Studies, invites applications
for a tenure-track position of assistant professor in Arabic language
and literature with competence in Qur'anic Studies to begin as of
September 1, 2000.  Applicants must have a Ph.D. and show promise of
excellence in scholarly research and teaching.  The appointee will teach
graduate research seminars and graduate and undergraduate courses,
including Arabic language, as well as supervise graduate theses.  The
salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
