Subject:Arabic concepts non-lexicalised in English
Dear all,
I was thinking about examples of concepts in Arabic which are non-lexicalised in English.. the example I have in mind now is the concept expressed in Arabic by the word "عقبالك" which means something like "i wish you will have/do the same in the future" typically said after congratulations for anything.
Could you help me find other examples like this? esp. from Standard Arabic.
Thanks a lot in advance..
Mai
