The I-LanD Research Centre (https://i-land-researchcentre.eu/) is pleased to announce the second seminar in the I-LanD Seminar Series - 4th Edition (2nd semester).

Innovative in format and interdisciplinary in scope, the I-LanD Seminar Series brings together scholars to discuss key issues in their fields of expertise, with particular attention to theoretical perspectives, methodological approaches, research challenges, and emerging directions of inquiry. Each seminar opens with a brief introduction to the topic, followed by short presentations by invited speakers, a roundtable discussion among the panellists, and a Q&A session with the audience.

The second seminar, entitled "Analyzing Social Media Discourse: Qualitative and Quantitative Approaches", will take place on Thursday, 26 March 2026, via Microsoft Teams, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (CET).

The seminar will reflect on the interdisciplinary nature of social media studies through the presentation of different research traditions and methodological perspectives, both qualitative and quantitative. Bringing together scholars whose work has significantly contributed to the study of language and discourse online, the discussion will explore the hows and whys of analysing communication in digital environments. As social media platforms continue to reshape public discourse, identity construction, and patterns of interaction, understanding these dynamics remains an increasingly important area of inquiry.
