Hello! I've been lurking on this list for a little while, but since
Elizabeth so kindly pointed out that this list is for posting as well...

The rule in Gaelic - and Irish - is that adjectives denoting size always
come immediately after the noun, i.e. first in the list.
We actually have the "first in the list" rule in English, too - you can't
talk about a "white big dog" or a "black little cat," it sounds wrong.
