THERE IS ONE MORE THING I FORGOT.
After you download and unzip "unix-clan" archive and before compiling it.
Inside directory "unix-clan/src" find and open file "common.h". Then locate
lines:
#ifndef DEPDIR
#define DEPDIR "/Volumes/pooch/clanW/(lib)/"
#endif
And change the "/Volumes/pooch/clanW/(lib)/" directory to the full PATH of
the one where you will place "lib" directory on you computer, "(lib)" being
"lib" directory in "unix-clan". I have just updated all the CLAN programs in
"unix-clan" archive.
THE REST IS THE SAME.
After you download zip file. You need to unzip-tar it. That will create
folder "unix-clan". In you terminal change directory to directory
"unix-clan/src". There find and open file "makefile" with text editor.
Change the following lines:
# for Linux:
# CC = g++
.....
# Linux on Intel and most other machines:
# CFLAGS = -O -DUNX -fwritable-strings -Wall
To:
# for Linux:
CC = g++
.....
# Linux on Intel and most other machines:
CFLAGS = -O -DUNX -fwritable-strings -Wall
Save "makefile" and get to terminal window. Make sure that your working
directory is "unix-clan/src" and then type "make" command. CLAN applications
will be stored in directory "unix-clan/unix/bin". Either copy them to some
directory that you have application's PATH set to or add
"unix-clan/unix/bin" to the application's PATH. You can run them the same
way as you do in "Commands" window. This works for in most cases we have
experienced. If you have any further problems please email to me directly
instead of chibolts.
Leonid.
