Dear Joyce,
To make sure that you are using these conventions correctly, you should first run CHECK and then Chatter. As long as your files are passing those, you are using the right syntax. Another approach would be to send me a sample file, so I can verify what you are doing.

Yes, just add them to the ISO-639.cut file and we will add them to the master version for further distribution.

Hopefully. You can try this yourself or send me a copy. Also, you shouldn't have to use +l. It is just a way of making things very clear.
