Dealing with counting in transcripts

Hi there, 

Is there a simple way to deal with speaker counting in transcripts? For 
example:

(1) 
*CHI: one .
*CHI: two .
*CHI: three .

(2) 
*CHI: one two three .

Transcribing as (1) or (2) will affect MLU calculations.
