Ian,
I finally finished COMBO changes. please get new CLAN from the web. Here is a list of few commands that you can try.
1. combo combo.cha +d7 +s_*^&um^_* +o%gra
2. combo combo.cha +d7 +s_*^&um^_*
3. combo combo.cha +d7 +sm|v^&um^_*
4. combo combo.cha +d7 +sm|aux^&um^_*
5. combo combo.cha +d7 +sg|SUBJ^&um^_*
6. combo combo.cha +d7 +s_*^&um^_* +t%gra
The "m|v" or "m|aux" mean to look for words that are verbs or aux and the search string says to find all occurrences where filler "&um" follows those words.
The "g|SUBJ" means to look for words that are Subjects as identified on %gra tier. Again the search string says find all occurrences where filler "&um" follows "Subjects".
Command lines 1 through 4 will search %mor tier. Command lines 5 and 6 will search %gra tier.
If anyone think this feature could use more refinement or expansion, then please let us know.
Leonid.

We would like to run searches using a combination of search terms from different tiers. For example, looking for any verb (coded on the %mor tier) appearing before a filled pause (which we have coded on the main tier).
