Dear Alan &c,

Addendum:  What about the several Iroquois personnel listed in the "Annals"?  And conceivably any Nootka-based, and for that matter Haida-based Jargon, was known to someone at Astoria.  I won't go to absurd lengths here (probably at least one 'gentleman' there knew Greek, Latin or both)...
