I don't know what kind of camp it is, but I'm assuming 'spirit' means
one's personal essence rather than an outside 'spirit'.

Wouldn't Tamanhous be similar to the english 'familiar' as in one's or
a witch's familiar? If so it is an outside 'spirit' or at least
something more definate than "our spirits"
