Also known as DARE, it's a multi-volume set.  They've been working their
way through the alphabet for decades, and if you ever need to know what
would be a good stocking-stuffer for a linguist friend (big sox), find a
used copy of one of the DARE volumes & make 'em happy.

The latest volume is in print & on the verge of being distributed.  It
covers P-Sk, so it ought to contain valuable information on the usage
of "potlatch", and probably "skookum", if the alert inclusion of Jargon-
derived Northwesternisms in previous volumes is an indicator.

Jeff, a bar with DARE on the shelves is a place I need to visit, some days.
