One more bit from the same article.  (When I photocopied this material I
hadn't noticed the pidgin-French stuff, and didn't make sure to fit the
edges onto the page.  In square brackets is stuff I'm guessing at.)

"Trop il y en a des sauvages a Babine et ils font pitie' sans le [savoir?
vouloir?].  Depuis Noel pas capables de voir le pretre.  Pere, donnez-
[nous] un coup de main avec le Bon Dieu sa parole."

The article follows this quotation with the note, "[T]el etait le mot que
je recus un beau matin du chef des Babines."
