Beware the wrong Father Le Jeune

Beware. Some Internet and even print sources mistake the 17th-century
missionary named Le Jeune for the 19th-20th century guy in Kamloops. The
following is an example, taken from The Canadian Encyclopedia at
http://tceplus.com/index.cfm?PgNm=TCE&Params=A1SEC648141. (I hope that link
works for you.)
"Hudson's Bay Co officials and early missionaries tried to introduce
literacy and calendars to the Plateau peoples, but it was a Catholic
missionary, Father LE JEUNE, who had the most success. Contemporary
attempts to teach native people to write the various Plateau languages have
not yet proved as successful as Le Jeune's work at the turn of the century,
when more than 2000 Interior Salish became literate."
The link on the name Le Jeune here takes you to biographical information on
the guy who lived 400 years ago. An unfortunate mistake.
