Is CW still spoken at Kamloops ?

I have read the whole archive of Chinook-List, but I don't remember seeing
this issue discussed before.
When the "Kamloops Wawa" ceased to be published (1923? 1924? see NOTE
below), was this for financial reasons or because the number of the people
still speaking CW and able to read it in shorthand decreased to a level
that didn't justify a newspaper in this language (that means not enough
subscribers, thus again the financial problem...)
But today, in A.D. 2005, is still somebody in the Kamloops area who
remembers CW ?

NOTE: it isn't clear for me when KW ceased to be published. On the
University of Saskatchewan website I read that it was published between
1891 and 1923, but Le Jeune's "Chinook rudiments" was published as KW No.
1739 on 3 May 1924.
