In Demers there is a strange word for "shoes": tkitlipa, taken over also by Shaw in his English-Chinook part. Maybe it isn't something new for others members of the Chinook-List, but I discovered that this word is Chinookan. In the Chinookan word list of Vol. 8 of Curtis' "The North American Indian", the word for "moccasins" is i-tkitl-pa in Wishram and tketl-pa in Cathlamet (the [Lower] Chinook equivalent is missing).
