Chokecherries? How many salted salmon? "Stop" = "have, be"?

Knowing the area and the Secwepemc food traditions, he means choke 
cherries.   Canoe Creek is already getting to be too cold to grow 
cultivated cherries.   The Secwepemc make a great chokecherry syrup to 
this day.
