Corpora: British newspaper text

Hello,

I am trying to find exisiting archives of different British newspapers such
that I can study the vocabularly used between them. Does anyone
know of any similar work that has already been carried out, or know of where
I can obtain large amounts of archived newspaper material (not just
searching the archives of on-line newspaper sites).
