The Third International Conference of Asian Digital Library
ADL2000, the third International Conference of Asian Digital Library
will
be held in Seoul, Korea from December 6 to 8, 2000. This conference
follows the previous successful conferences held in Hong Kong in 1998
and Taipei in 1999. The goal of this conference is to share and
disseminate information and knowledge about current issues
regarding digital library research and technology.
* Proposals for papers are solicited describing mainly the flowing
topics;

Special emphasis will be given towards reports on experiences and open
problems with available running systems or technology for digital
libraries. ADL2000 will continue to provide a forum for discussing
applications of DL concepts and techniques especially reflecting Asian
Culture in the areas of:
Digital Earth
Digital Sky
Digital Law
Digital Art
Digital Music
Integrating Digital Technology into Traditional Libraries
Socio-Economic Impacts
Geospatial Information
Medical Applications
Social and Natural Sciences
** Submissions **
- Papers must be written in English and in any case should
they Not exceed 5000 words. The first page must include the
title, author name and affiliation, an abstract
and keywords.
- Papers can be submitted in one electronic form (PDF, Microsoft Word
or Postscript) or five hard copies. Papers including special
characters should be submitted by all means in hard copies.
- The proceedings will be prepared jointly by Korea Advanced
Institute of Science and Technology and Korea Database Promotion
Center. A selected number of papers will be considered for
publication in the International Journal on Digital Libraries.
